THE TRUSTEE
ACIRT is governed by a Trust Deed, which established the Fund in October 1994.
The
Trustee of ACIRT is a company called ACIRT Pty Limited. It has a board of
directors with equal Trade Union and Employer representation.
At present the employee directors have been appointed by the following organisations:

The Trustee has
appointed a professional external administration company and investment
advisers. The Trustee has also adopted a formal investment policy statement.

CREDITING DETAILS
Total member distributions equalled $7.2 million, representing a return of 2.5% for year end 30 June 2008.
FEES & CHARGES
An administration fee (currently $0.8598 per week per member) is paid by ACIRT to Australian Administration Services. This is deducted from fund income.
No administration fee is generally charged to Members Accounts. The exception to this rule is where members request their redundancy benefit be paid by electronic fund transfer into a nominated bank account.
No administration fee is charged to employers.
Director's fees of $500 per meeting are paid to each respective sponsor (employer organisation or trade union) to compensate for time spent managing ACIRT.
